About The Position

ChristianaCare Endocrinology at Map II in Newark, DE is looking for a Medical Assistant I. ChristianaCare Endocrinology Specialists provides specialized care for patients affected by diabetes, metabolic issues, and various endocrine disorders. The clinic is staffed by board-certified endocrinologists and certified diabetes educators who deliver top-tier diabetes care that encompasses medical treatment, diabetes education, and nutritional counseling. In addition to diabetes management, the facility offers extensive expertise in treating other endocrine and metabolic conditions, including thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, menopause, pituitary gland disorders, and additional gland-related disorders. Endocrinology & Diabetes Specialty Care | ChristianaCare Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm Will rotate to other practices for cross coverage Duties / Responsibilities: As a Medical Assistant I, you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal. Requirements
