The Medical Assistant provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school.
  • BLS through American Heart Association.
  • No experience required with Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant or 1+ years of directly related experience as a medical assistant without Certification/Registration.
  • Computer experience.
  • Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population.
  • Basic Medical/Nursing terminology.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • Ambulatory Care experience.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Proven windows computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.
  • Assist the Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse as needed.
  • Use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population.
