We are a busy Primary Care practice looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to anticipate the needs of both patients and practitioners. While certification is not required, we are open to training someone who is eager to learn and possesses a solid foundation in medical office practices. The pay for this position will depend on the candidate's experience, starting at $17 per hour. This is a full-time role with a schedule that includes no weekends, allowing for a balanced work-life environment. The working hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care. Your responsibilities will include taking and recording vital signs, obtaining and entering patient vitals and history into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, cleaning and preparing exam rooms, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. You will also perform basic CLIA testing, administer injections, and provide medical administrative support such as scheduling lab appointments and relaying diagnostic results to patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for triaging phone calls from patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices, as well as educating patients on self-care techniques and medication instructions. This position requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, proficiency in medication administration techniques, and the ability to accurately record and document patient information. Excellent communication skills are essential to provide patient service with empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with electronic health records systems and HIPAA regulations is also important. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, pivot, and problem-solve with little direction is crucial for success in this role.
