About The Position
As a Medical Assistant at Concentra, you will play a vital role in providing quality clinical care and ensuring an excellent patient experience. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine medical and testing procedures under the direct supervision of the treating clinician. You will be expected to treat every patient with respect and professionalism, embodying the Concentra Way. This position is full-time, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, located at 9222 North Newport Hwy, Suite 1, Spokane, WA 99218. In this role, you will perform various ancillary testing and tasks, including administering vaccines and injections, conducting phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), audiogram testing, and respirator fit testing as ordered by the treating clinicians. You will also be responsible for preparing patients for physical examinations, which includes taking vital signs and performing all required testing. Your duties will extend to triaging and dispositioning all patients, assisting providers during examinations and treatments, and preparing for and assisting clinicians with surgery setups and injury care. You will apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered, dispense medications and appliances in accordance with state regulations, and perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing. Maintaining and operating all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record-keeping, will be part of your responsibilities. You will also complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, manage patient flow, and handle clerical tasks associated with patient care and record-keeping. Cross-training to perform front office duties, such as greeting patients and managing check-in/out processes, will also be required. This position demands a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly facility and participating in staff meetings as needed.
