The position involves fulfilling patient care responsibilities, which include organizing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, and accompanying patients to their respective exam rooms. The role requires documenting patient history, charting, collecting specimens, and relaying instructions to patients while assisting them as necessary. Additionally, the position entails performing patient screenings, documenting patient history, conducting medication reconciliation, and obtaining vital signs. The individual will assist the doctor with physical exams and office procedures as needed, as well as support the office coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other administrative duties. Managing and updating patient medical records, handling referrals and prior authorizations, and maintaining inventory of clinical equipment and supplies are also key responsibilities. The role may require obtaining prior authorizations and booking surgeries as needed, along with additional responsibilities as required. The individual is expected to float to other GFP offices/locations based on business needs.
