About The Position

The Back Office Medical Assistant Floater at Actalent is responsible for providing quality team-based patient care under the supervision of a clinician. This role involves both clinical and administrative functions aimed at promoting health and wellness in a safe environment. The Medical Assistant Floater will support clinicians and care management teams in managing chronic diseases, conducting patient examinations, and performing laboratory testing procedures, including phlebotomy. The position requires flexibility to float between various office locations to meet patient demands.

Requirements

• HS diploma required
• 2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting
• MA diploma OR Certified MA (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experience
• Phlebotomy experience required
• MUST be able to take vitals (manual vitals preferred)
• Active BLS required
• Active driver's license required
• Flexibility to adjust to changing work environment

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
• Experience with TriMed EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform quality team-based patient care under the supervision of a clinician.
• Support clinicians and care management teams in chronic disease management, patient examinations, and treatments.
• Conduct all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Float between various office locations as needed to support patient queue demands.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
• Assess emergencies and act accordingly.

• Pay range: $41,288.00 - $51,043.00
