About The Position

Clinical Associates aims to make being healthy easier by connecting patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, including in-house specialists from cardiology to podiatry. The company offers growth and advancement within a family-feel atmosphere and has served the community for over 50 years. They are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (Float) for their Reisterstown office. The role requires availability for day shifts starting as early as 8:00 am and a rotating evening shift between 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm one evening per week, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be willing to work in a fast-paced, team environment and provide excellent patient care and service. Internal Medicine / Primary Care experience of 1-2 years is required. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing a positive, supportive, nurturing, yet professional experience, whether triaging calls, rooming patients, assisting during office visits, or providing follow-up to patients and/or families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current registration/certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Internal Medicine / Primary Care experience of 1-2 years
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently multitask and stay organized
  • Proficiency in EHR/ computer skills
  • Proficiency in CRISP
  • Proficiency in Cover My Meds
  • Must be available to work day shift as early as 8:00am
  • Must be available to work a rotating shift between 6:00pm -7:00pm one evening per week
  • Willing to work in a fast paced, team environment and provide excellent care and service to our patients
  • Candidates selected for an interview will be required to take a medical skill assessment

Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive, supportive, nurturing, yet professional experience whether triaging calls, rooming patients and assisting during an office visit, or providing follow-up to patients and/or families
  • Assistance during routine exams
  • Recording a patient history and logging vital signs
  • Obtaining and tracking authorizations and test results
  • Entering lab / diagnostic test orders
  • Scheduling appointments, procedures, or imaging
  • Providing Patient Service Representative coverage when needed
