About The Position

Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence. Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider. Will float to nearby clinics as needed. Willing and able to travel to multiple worksites.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.
• Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Computer skills required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training.
