About The Position

Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a nonprofit health care organization whose mission is to provide exceptional health care to people facing access barriers through clinical programs and education. Requirements

• Registered/Certified Medical Assistant; current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older to be an eligible driver on behalf of Peak Vista.
• Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Must meet and maintain driver criteria as prescribed by Peak Vista's insurance underwriter.
• Relevant healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
• Schedules appointments and performs necessary intake functions for arriving patients.
• Assists in questions, directs telephone calls, and performs other patient service duties.
• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of provider, patient, and assigned area.
• Checks email and phone communication daily and responds to communications per Peak Vista policy.
• Completes MA competency skills check within 90 days of hire and all ongoing required competencies, trainings, and assessments.
• Works at other Peak Vista locations as requested.
• Orients/supports new staff as requested.
• Assists in the coordination of providing quality patient care as a Peak Vista healthcare team member.
• Attends all required Peak Vista meetings.
• Promotes and participates in clinic team-based care model.
• Supports providers in the delivery of medical care, assisting with patient procedures as needed.
• Ensures patient treatment areas are clean, organized, and follow Peak Vista safety and compliance standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to the Compliance Plan and conflict of interest requirements.
• Contributes to and participates in departmental performance improvement goals.
