About The Position

We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Medical Assistant Float to provide excellent patient care and support in the clinical setting. In this role, you will escort patients to exam rooms, obtain initial information and vital signs, and prepare patients for the provider. You will handle tasks such as ordering tests and x-rays, assisting with minor procedures like suture removal or dressing changes, drawing up injections, and accurately entering data into medical systems. This role also involves educating patients and caregivers on specific care instructions and ensuring exam rooms are clean and well-stocked. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a Medical Assistant Float, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous medical assisting experience is preferred.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program and CMA certification are preferred.
  • A successful candidate will have familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.
  • This position requires travel to various ORA clinic locations.
