About The Position

The Medical Assistant position at Endeavor Health involves performing select clinical functions to enhance the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Supervisor. Responsibilities include preparing patients for physical examinations, obtaining specimens, conducting routine laboratory tests, recording results, performing routine diagnostic tests, and administering selected medications/injections under the general supervision of a physician. The role also includes clerical duties related to clinic operations, supporting a busy Primary Care office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through recognized agencies
• At least 6 months of clinical experience - PREFERRED
• Candidates without certification should have at least one year of clinical experience - PREFERRED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross - REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical examination
• Obtain specimens and conduct select routine laboratory tests
• Record results of laboratory tests and routine diagnostic tests
• Perform phlebotomy as needed
• Administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision
• Perform clerical duties related to clinic operations
