About The Position

Ionia ICC is made up of several different departments in one building. We house Family Medicine, Walk-In clinic, Women’s Health (2 days a week), Laboratory services, X-ray services and Ultrasound services. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients. MAs hired into this clinic can expect to room patients, schedule all visit types, complete clinical tasks, provide point of care testing, do EKGs, give injections and immunizations, do in basket work, refill medications, cover phones, and more. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required within 120 Days OR
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required within 120 Days OR
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) Required within 120 Days OR
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Required within 120 Days OR
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Required within 120 Days

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
