We deliver endocrinology and diabetes care in an outpatient setting located on the Newton-Wellesley Hospital main campus (20000 Washington Street in the White building, Suite 546 in Newton, MA). Our endocrinologists help people with diabetes and hormonal disorders successfully manage their conditions. Patients receive state-of-the-art diabetes treatment through our team’s advanced and effective techniques. Conditions treated: - Diabetes management - Osteoporosis - Thyroid disorders and tumors - General endocrinology We are seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to support the practice on-site with varied hours/shifts to cover vacancies and call-outs. We are open Monday through Friday and the shifts times are 8:00am-4:30pm or 7:30pm-4:00pm. Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner. Job Summary Summary The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
