About The Position

ProHealth Care’s Big Bend Road Clinic is hiring a Clinical Support Associate to support Dr. Marx, one of our high-volume primary care providers. Patients are typically scheduled every 15 minutes, but you won’t be doing it alone, Dr. Marx works with two full-time clinical support team members, creating a strong, collaborative care model that keeps the day running smoothly. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, or equivalent clinical training program.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain vitals efficiently in a fast-paced clinic flow
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures as needed
  • Administer injections and vaccines per scope and training
  • Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing, medication reconciliation, and refill support as applicable
  • Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
  • Partner closely with Dr. Marx and the clinical team to anticipate needs and keep visits on track
  • Create a welcoming, calm experience for patients despite a busy schedule
  • Prepare exam rooms by setting up equipment and supplies, following standard workflows to prepare patients for provider exams, obtaining vital signs, verifying health histories, and documenting accurately in the EMR.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations, assist with procedures, set up sterile fields, collect specimens, perform Point of Care testing, and provide therapeutic treatments under provider direction.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms after each patient, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Answer patient calls, report test results, and relay medical information as directed.
  • Assist in responding to urgent clinical situations and support the maintenance of medications, vaccines, and equipment for the clinic.
