About The Position
Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Delran Office. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical support in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position is open to candidates with no prior experience in healthcare, provided they have a strong interest in the field, possess teamwork experience, and demonstrate attention to detail. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the role requires availability Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays during operating hours from 7 am to 7:30 pm. The Medical Assistant will be expected to promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere, enhancing the quality of service and care provided to patients and their respective providers. In this role, the Medical Assistant will assist physicians in various medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, ensuring that all tasks are performed within established guidelines. Responsibilities include recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, and prior authorizations. The Medical Assistant will also prepare examination rooms before and after patient visits, checking all equipment to ensure it is in proper working order at the beginning of each shift. Additionally, the role involves providing pre-care and post-care treatment instructions to patients as needed, scanning retail and cosmetic products, and managing inventory responsibilities by alerting the Head Medical Assistant or General Manager of any low supply levels. Participation in all in-house training and continued education opportunities is also required to maintain the highest standards of care.
