About The Position

American Health Associates, a premier clinical laboratory predominantly servicing the long-term care industry, now offers at-home patient care services! This service aims to help expand patients’ options when it comes to how and where they get their basic care services done. We know how hard it can be to get to a medical office for those with limited mobility, severe health conditions, and for those with lack of transportation. We are looking for experienced and certified Medical Assistants or CNA’s to join our mobile Care At Home team where your professional contributions truly matter while providing basic care services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. As a Certified Medical Assistant or CNA at AHA, you will: Collect and record each patient’s vital signs, demographic and medical history to ensure proper health and well-being; Under the virtual supervision of a Clinician, review medication as prescribed by the healthcare team; Perform simple, non-invasive clinical tests for COPD, Peripheral Arterial Disease, and Diabetes; Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, noting living conditions of the patient and referring patient to support team depending on needs; Provide patients with drug disposal locations; Communicate with patients and their families to provide emotional support and address any concerns.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Active state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
  • 1+ Years of relevant experience preferred
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
  • Attention to detail for handling records
