About The Position

The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients' care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic's mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Documented successful completion of Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Pharmacology courses.
• Two years of Medical Assistant-related work experience and completion of required educational courses within the first 12 months from hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire.
