About The Position

The Medical Assistant assists the Physician or Physician Assistant with direct patient care in a clinical setting. Supports patient-focused care, demonstrates exceptional customer service, communicating clearly, respectfully, and professionally with patients, family and clinical team. Facilitates an efficient clinic-flow, collaborating with other functional areas of the office. Uses EMR functions to ensure consistent and accurate documentation, following established protocol. Complies with all OHSA, HIPAA, BBP and other protocol. We practice in a fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring self-discipline, initiative and a team-player mindset. This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Medical Assistants are required to travel between our Stuart, Port St. Lucie and Hobe Sound offices. Requirements

  • Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic human anatomy.
  • Must be organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-patient volume environment.
  • EMR/PM experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have current MA credentialing for MU or obtain it within six (6) months of employment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between office locations in Stuart, Port St. Lucie and Hobe Sound.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting, pulling, and stooping when assisting patients up to 300 lbs.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a multi-physician practice is helpful.
  • Experience in orthopaedics, pain management, and/or podiatry is strongly preferred, but not required.
