About The Position

Medical Assistant / Clinical Assistant (Related Healthcare Experience Welcome) Location: Boardman, OH Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Shifts: 6:30am–3:00pm, 7:00am–3:30pm, or 7:30am–4:00pm) Southwoods Health is expanding! We are seeking patient-focused Medical Assistants to join our growing team. While we have multiple practices across the region, we are currently highlighting several full-time openings in Boardman . Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of experience directly related to patient care.
• Skills: Strong customer service, ability to multitask in a clinical setting, and proficiency in medical record databases.

Nice To Haves

• Ideal Backgrounds: We are specifically seeking candidates with experience as an STNA, Phlebotomist, CNA, or Pharmacy Tech.
• Medical Assistant schooling is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Room patients, obtain vital signs, record medications/allergies, and collect/process lab specimens.
• Patient Coordination: Schedule procedures and surgeries, coordinate with surgical vendors, and manage physician block times.
• Administrative Excellence: Manage electronic medical records (EMR), handle insurance authorizations, and resolve eligibility issues.
• Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all OSHA and Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
