About The Position

Be part of a team that helps patients through their cancer journey. We are home to UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center, Wisconsin's only comprehensive cancer center, as designated by the National Cancer Institute. We work to prevent cancer through risk assessments and research, and we have programs focused on early diagnosis, when cancer is most treatable. We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) – Chemotherapy Services to: Provide a remarkable patient experience, as you are often one of the first people a patient interacts with at their appointment.  Room patients, take vitals, give injections and immunizations, assist with minor procedures, clean and stock infusion bays.      Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following Required
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or
  • Licensure as an LPN or
  • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
  • Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
  • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
  • Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
  • Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
  • If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred
