About The Position

The Medical Assistant Certified/Registered position at Cape Fear Valley OB-GYN involves supporting the administrative and clinical requirements of physicians and other licensed medical staff. The role includes assisting in obtaining patient vital signs, updating patient charts, compiling related statistical data, and ensuring compliance with policy, procedure, practice, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards. The Medical Assistant is responsible for administering care to clinic patients, including adults, older adults, and pediatric patients, under the supervision of the physician and other licensed medical staff.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from organizations such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA.

Responsibilities
