About The Position

We are currently hiring Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (National Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice- St. Lawrence Community Health Center. Individuals must have a Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program Completed AND a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification to qualify. This position requires language skills that included Bilingual English/Bengali OR English/Spanish. You will support our Bronx-based family health center where we provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.

Requirements

Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Bilingual Spanish/English or English/Bengali required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Computer literacy.
Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients.

Responsibilities

Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
Completes referrals and discharges patients.
Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
Assist provider with treatments
Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.
