Medical Assistant/Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Primary Care and Dermatology)
About The Position
Position Summary: We are currently hiring a full time bilingual English/Spanish Nationally Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice. This role will commit three days at our Tres Puentes Family Health Center and support two days per week at ParkTree with Dermatology services. Key Duties: Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders. Prepare examination rooms and equipment. Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records. Completes referrals and discharges patients. Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams. Assist provider with treatments Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School
- National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Computer literacy
- Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients
