About The Position

We are currently hiring a Full Time Certified (Bilingual- Spanish/English) Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join the team at Boricua Community Health Center. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 0-1 years of related clinical experience required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant/Registered Medical Assistant (CCMA), required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, computer skills, and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and accurately records in medical records.
  • Maintains clinical logs and exam room logs.
  • Registers and verifies patient demographics.
  • Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.
  • Prepares examination rooms, maintains inventory, and sterilizes instruments.
