About The Position

The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support under the delegation and supervision of a licensed provider. The Medical Assistant assists providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety, and performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or documented successful completion of relevant courses.
• At least two years of direct healthcare-related work experience in roles such as CNA, EMT, HUC, ED Technician, PCA, Dental Assistant, Home Health Aide, Phlebotomist, etc.
• Completion of specified educational courses relevant to the role within the first 12 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare.
• National MA certification (e.g., CMA, CCMA) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Benefits

• Level 1 benefit package for positions listed as 30 hours per week or greater.
• Level 2 benefit package for positions listed as 20 – 29 hours per week.
• Non-benefited for positions listed as less than 19 hours per week.
