JOB SUMMARY - Care Team Coordinator (Non-Certified) The Care Team Coordinator (Non-Certified) functions as an important member of the organization’s healthcare team and is responsible for delegated tasks under the direct supervision of a provider. The Care Team Coordinator (Non-Certified) rooms the patient, completes team documentation and performs in-between visit functions within the specific team care structure to provide excellent patient care to those we serve. JOB S UMMARY - Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare team by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic’s mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. JOB SUMMARY - Certified Medical Assistant The Certified Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare teams by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The individual performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s (MCHS) mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Requirements

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent) currently or within one year of hire: Medical Terminology Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease Pharmacology
  • One and a half years’ experience in a healthcare setting required if not a graduate of a MA or LPN program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • Graduate of a medical assistant (MA) or license practical nurse (LPN) program OR applicable coursework to obtain license below.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire and one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Licensed Practical Nurse license awarded by the State of Wisconsin National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • One of the following: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program Documented successful completion of the following courses or (their recognized course equivalent): Medical Terminology from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class. Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class. Pharmacology from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of Medical Assistant-related work experience and completion of the required educational courses listed above within the first 12 months from hire.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma OR applicable coursework to obtain license below.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire and one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association or Medical Assistants (AAMA) Registered Medical Assistant registration from the American Medical Technologist (AMT) Registered Medical Assistant registry from the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin or equivalent National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
