Requirements

  • CCMA Certification or equivalent (RMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA) is required.
  • One year of applicable work experience in a patient care setting is required.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assisting program is preferred.

  • Experience in a call center environment.
  • Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referrals.
