About The Position

This position under medical supervision, assists medical professionals in the delivery of health care services and performs duties relating to the care and treatment of the patient. Identifies patient's chief complaint and records observations in patient's permanent medical record, dispenses medications and appliances with the scope of practice and as ordered by the treating provider and in accordance with State regulations.

Requirements

• One year working in a healthcare setting or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution approved by the State of Ohio.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Previous medical office, clinical or hospital registration experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency in patient assessment and care of minor injuries including sprains, strains, lacerations, and basic first aid.
