Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
BLS/CPR Certification required
Up to one year experience
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
Basic front desk, clerical or healthcare support specialist skills/experience
Ability to work with clinical staff, works well under pressure, and multitask within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to the concepts of preventive health care and team approach to health care delivery
Experience working with computers
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Phlebotomy skills preferred
Experience with electronic medical records, preferred.

Responsibilities

Interview patients to gather medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
Record medical history, vital statistics, and test results in medical records.
Collect and prepare blood, tissue, or other specimens for testing.
Assist physicians during patient examinations, providing instruments and materials as needed.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and supply restocking.
Clean and sterilize instruments and manage contaminated supplies.
Conduct phone consultations regarding test results and health concerns.
Process specimens, ensuring proper labeling and packaging for lab pickup.
Perform phlebotomy and other diagnostic tests.
Administer medications as ordered, including oral, intramuscular, SubQ, and topical.
Ensure proper documentation of patient care activities.
Stock exam rooms with supplies, checking for expired items, and managing waste.
Participate in OSHA compliance programs and performance improvement initiatives.
Promote a respectful and courteous environment for all patients and staff.
Work collaboratively within a primary care medical home model.
Attend safety training programs and adhere to safety protocols.
Maintain work area and equipment per Legacy and governmental standards.
Report safety concerns promptly and follow exposure control plans.
Demonstrate proper use of protective equipment and maintain a safe environment.
Attend annual education programs and perform other duties as assigned.
