The Medical Assistant must have an MA diploma in Medical Assisting and performs both clinical and administrative duties that directly support efficient clinic flow, effective and safe clinic operations, and excellent patient experience. The Medical Assistant supports patient care by taking medical histories, accurately capturing and documenting patient vital signs, requesting and updating patient medical records, filing communicating with patients, and providing documentation for patients or members of the healthcare team while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. The Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities may vary based on state regulations.
