Sign-On Bonus for External applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only About the Unit Bariatrics has a comprehensive team that includes five skilled surgeons, three bariatricians, twelve advanced practice providers (APPs), two psychologists, and four dietitians. Our team supports ten practice locations, providing both medical and surgical weight loss options. We follow our surgical patients for life, seeing them on an annual basis. Our support staff is composed of registered nurses (RNs), medical assistants/ACTs, and patient service representatives (PSRs). Each member of the team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practices and the delivery of high-quality care. Medical Assistants/ACTs assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, chart preparation, and managing in-basket messages, medication refills and prior authorizations. Candidates for this position should be adaptable, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing high-quality patient care About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
