About The Position

The position involves working in a team environment at the UMHS Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools International Academy of Flint school-based health center, providing services to youth aged 0 to 21. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent education
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Some office experience

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard medical laboratory tests
  • Conduct phlebotomy and take vital signs
  • Administer immunizations
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments
  • Respond to inquiries from parents, students, and school staff
  • Maintain patient files and records
  • Manage inventory and equipment related to immunizations
  • Enter patient demographic and visit-specific information
  • Collect data for grant reporting
