About The Position
Medical Assistant Apprentice (MACT 1.0) Program Description: This full-time Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program is designed to support Orlando Health team members in transitioning from their current roles into a clinical Medical Assistant position. The program combines paid, full-time employment with structured education and hands-on clinical training. The apprenticeship runs approximately 4–5 months and culminates in Medical Assistant certification. Participants work and attend classes full time in Orlando Health facility, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The program requires travel throughout the greater Orlando area for clinical practice, training sessions, and educational activities. This paid “earn while you learn” model allows apprentices to build clinical skills, gain real-world experience, and advance their healthcare careers within Orlando Health.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Passing score on a college readiness test in math, reading comprehension and English.
