About The Position

The Medical Assistant Apprentice position at White House Clinics is a paid apprenticeship program designed to provide participants with the necessary training and experience to launch a career in healthcare. This 12-week program combines classroom instruction, clinical skill labs, and hands-on externship hours, culminating in the opportunity to sit for the national certification exam to become a Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA). Participants will work full-time while learning, gaining valuable skills in patient care and clinical workflows.

Requirements

  • CCMA Certification (or willingness to obtain upon completion of the program)
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Laboratory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Entry-level position with a focus on patient care

Responsibilities

  • Attend class Monday through Friday in a classroom setting.
  • Actively engage in classroom trainings and participate in skill-building lab sessions.
  • Complete shadowing and training in a medical clinical setting.
  • Complete all assigned coursework by deadlines outlined in the syllabus.
  • Maintain in-person attendance to successfully complete the program.
  • Sign a 2-year work agreement as a Medical Assistant.
  • Follow credentialing guidelines regarding scope of work and practice.
  • Complete EHR training and coursework relative to clinical courses.
