About The Position

This is a combined posting for a Medical Assistant, and Senior Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The Medical Assistant (MA) III works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA III is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the MA III proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
  • 2 years of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting for Senior Medical Assistant
  • 2 years of Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion for Senior Medical Assistant
