About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bilingual Medical Assistant and Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role requires flexibility to work at different locations or travel as needed. The Medical Assistant will support a professional healthcare environment by handling non-clinical tasks, while the Medical Receptionist will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and medication administration.
• Experience in an outpatient setting or hospital environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to take vital signs accurately and recognize changes in patient conditions.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent training is desirable but not mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in emergency medicine or related fields.
• Basic understanding of physiology knowledge related to patient care.
• Proficiency in using standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient referrals as needed.
• Obtain blood samples and perform data entry.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Clean exam rooms and maintain organization of medical equipment.
• Answer phone calls and assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with the management of medical administrative support tasks, including filing, data entry, and insurance verification.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
