About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Mobile Wound Care Healthcare Team . In this role, you will support chronic wound care visits by preparing supplies, managing inventory, and navigating to patient appointments using GPS technology. Upon arrival at patients’ homes, you will assist with hands-on patient care alongside Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the mobile care team is fully prepared throughout the day and week by supporting effective communication with the Care Coordination staff, setting up and maintaining medical equipment, assisting with treatments, and helping with documentation. Additional responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining instruments, assisting with charting, and supporting the overall efficiency of patient visits. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills, enjoys working in a mobile clinical environment, and has prior medical assisting experience with a willingness to continue learning and growing in wound care. Requirements

  • BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Active Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
  • Clean instruments and equipment after use
  • Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
  • Assist Nurse Practitioner with advanced wound care charting and procedures
  • Drive Nurse Practitioner to home visits
