Responsibilities The Medical Assistant 2 (MA2) performs medical or technical procedures within a Medical Assistant's scope of practice and under direction of the physician(s), assists the medical staff and physician(s) in providing clinical and administrative support throughout the medical office and provides guidance/mentorship to the practice's other Medical Assistants.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Certificate required
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
- 1 year of experience in the medical field required
- Previous experience in giving injections required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

- Pediatric experience preferred
