About The Position

The Medical Assistant will assist in all aspects of patient flow throughout the department. This includes, but is not limited to greeting patients, pulling/filing charts, typing forms, preparing documentation for transmission, answering telephones and assisting the physician, physician's assistant, registered nurse and technical staff in various aspects of patient care. This is a full-time day shift position Mon-Fri 9:00AM to 5:00PM, located at the NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Nostrand (1910 Nostrand Ave) practice.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program
• Excellent judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with all levels of staff
• Superior customer service skills
• Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience

Nice To Haves

• Certification as Medical Assistant
• Previous Medical Assistant experience
