Reports To: System/Practice Manager Job Responsibilities: This role will support daily operations by managing medical assistant job functions as well as assisting with phone volume, assisting with clinical and administrative work queues, completing medication prior authorizations, rooming patients as needed, performing point-of-care gap closures, and scanning and labeling faxed documents. Medical Assistant job responsibilities: rooming patients, taking vitals, etc. · Prepare and process correspondence on behalf of assigned medical offices/providers. · Procedure scheduling · Rooms patients and takes vitals · Review and update patient insurance information in the medical record as assigned. · Process/file documents within EMR into patient chart. · Re-route documents to appropriate office locations in EMR. · Send completed pre-op paperwork to surgical practices/hospital/etc. · Review & update patient upcoming appointment copay information. · Submit and follow up on requested tests and referrals ordered by provider. · Monitor and prioritize inbound results, clinical documents and patient cases in EMR, and work with providers and other support staff to address/close. · Other duties as assigned.
