About The Position

Perform administrative and clerical support functions within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). Manage daily operations of the Refractive Surgery Center, including ordering and maintaining required forms and supplies. Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, and medical statements. Support budget proposals, monitor expenditures, and assist in managing clinic finances. Maintain patient and administrative records in compliance with HIPAA and DHA policies. Coordinate with healthcare staff and leadership to support clinic operations and patient care. Use EHR GENESIS and other military databases to input and retrieve patient and administrative data. Assist with presentation preparation, training materials, and administrative projects as needed. Provide customer service support to patients and staff, answering questions and assisting with administrative processes. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with DoD, DHA, and MTF procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business, information management, or a related medical discipline is required
  • Minimum 12 Months of experience in medical administration or healthcare office operations required.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHR GENESIS.
  • Ability to type 30–40 words per minute.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication in English.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budget preparation and management is preferred.
  • Experience in ophthalmology clinic or supply management a plus.
