About The Position

Feldman, Kramer & Monaco is seeking a Medicaid Paralegal to join our firm. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, organized and detail-oriented. NOTE: This position is a 35 hour work week.

Requirements

• Two (2) years' experience in the preparation and filing of Institutional applications and Community-Based Home Care applications
• Knowledge of Income and Resource guidelines, Promissory Notes and Manage Long Term Care Agency procedures
• The ability to interact with families that pertain to Medicaid application process
• The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to adhere to Medicaid deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Time Matters
• Must be a team player
• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A MEDICAID COORDINATOR/SPECIALIST TO BE CONSIDERED

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting Medicaid applications for Institutional applications and Community-Based applications
• Maintaining cases and deadlines required by the Medicaid Agency
• Assisting clients to obtain documentation
• Communication with financial institutional to obtain documentation
• Assist Attorney(s) with clients, answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments
