About The Position

Looking for a position that makes you smile? We’re seeking a Medicaid Specialist to join our growing team.The Medicaid Specialist is responsible for assisting in the execution of Medicaid development, credentialing and payor enrollment processes. How you’ll make us better: Help update Medicaid policies and documentationAssist with research on Medicaid updates, reimbursement models, and best practices Collect Medicaid fee schedules and ORMsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of eligibility criteria and renewal procedures Submit Medicaid enrollment applications and follow-up with payors until completion Set up Medicaid portals and link providersAct as a resource for clinics regarding Medicaid procedures Provide customer service for billing inquiries and assist with their documentation Liaison with Medicaid Advocates for guidance and clarification on Medicaid processes Maintain and organize Medicaid information on SharePoint and Smile Doctors University

Requirements

  • Solid problem-solving and follow-up skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment across internal teams and external payors
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Three (3) years of experience in payor relations, credentialing, or healthcare contracting, required, with at least one (1) of those years in dental or orthodontic billing or insurance; Medicaid preferred
  • Experience with Medicaid and commercial payor enrollment across multiple states preferred
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Help update Medicaid policies and documentation
