About The Position

The Medicaid Liaison will coordinate with WRAAA, Ohio Department of Medicaid, County Department of Job & Family Services, and Managed Care Plans to establish Medicaid eligibility and resolve eligibility concerns that arise for MyCare waiver members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required - (Associates preferred) with two years of business, accounting, data analytics, social work, public health, and/or human services/health care experience or related training
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient ethical leadership abilities
  • Must be detail oriented, and can prioritize job duties, multi-task, and complete assignments within deadlines so that Agency goals are met
  • Ability to record and validate information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work efficiently with others in a professional manner
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must have current and valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance, and a car available during work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile MyCare waiver eligibility report monthly/bi-monthly and coordinate with Medicaid departments to correct eligibility.
  • Reconcile MyCare monthly assessment report and coordinate with the ADRC and Medicaid departments to correct any errors.
  • Complete data entry into the Level of Care database timely and with limited errors.
  • Uses Ohio Integrated Eligibility System (OB) to receive and return information to County Department of Jobs and Family Services worker related to member Medicaid application until approved, denied, closed, or when a liability determination is made or changed.
  • Monitor OB and PNM to ensure Medicaid eligibility and verify member waiver plan and liability annually at reassessment or as needed.
  • Communicates information to staff using PIMS (PASSPORT Information Management System) or managed care platform as assigned to update Care Manager or Waiver Service Coordinator and supervisor as to status of the Medicaid application or any changes related to Medicaid eligibility.
  • Document Medicaid follow-up needed for Care Manager or Waiver Service Coordinator can follow through with the member or Authorized Representative
  • Maintains member and provider confidentiality according to HIPAA and Agency policy.
  • Meet time frames for timely and accurate completion of documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
