We are seeking an experienced Medicaid Liaison to guide residents and their families through the Medicaid application process while supporting the financial health of our facility. This role is critical in ensuring timely Medicaid approvals, maintaining compliance with Ohio Medicaid regulations, and collaborating with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, detail‑oriented, and compassionate, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Ohio Long‑Term Care Medicaid
  • Strong working knowledge of Ohio Medicaid rules and regulations
  • Proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and billing software
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • 2–5 years of Medicaid and/or compliance experience
  • Familiarity with Ohio Revised Code and state regulations
  • Knowledge of Area Agency on Aging processes and requirements
  • PointClickCare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full Medicaid application and eligibility process
  • Conduct financial assessments for residents and families
  • Educate residents and responsible parties on Medicaid rules, eligibility, and documentation requirements
  • Communicate regularly with County Job and Family Services (JFS) and Area Agency on Aging
  • Attend state hearings and appeal adverse Medicaid determinations when necessary
  • Assist the Business Office Manager with: Claims processing
  • Cash posting
  • Insurance verification and reviews
  • Other business office functions as needed
