About The Position
As a Medicaid Liaison at Legacy Health Services, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the success of the pending Medicaid application process. This position involves evaluating the income and asset levels of potential admissions as well as residents who are already admitted. You will provide guidance to determine the appropriate actions needed to resolve applicant statuses, particularly for those who may be ineligible for Medicaid. It is essential to ensure that effective processes are in place for processing pending Medicaid applications, re-certification documentation, and tracking the status of open pending Medicaid applications. In this role, you will work closely with residents and/or their families to obtain the necessary documentation required to assess eligibility for Medicaid. Additionally, you will collaborate with county caseworkers to ensure that cases are processed in a timely manner. The Medicaid Liaison will also assist the Business Office Manager with various tasks, including claims processing, cash posting, research, insurance reviews, resident trust management, customer service, collections, and utilizing Point Click Care, among other business office assistance tasks. Your contributions will be vital in assuring the financial success of the facility.
