The Medicaid Coordinator will: Coordinate and monitor Medicaid, NJ FamilyCare Presumptive Eligibility (PE), and Charity Care applications from intake through final determination. Serve as the hospital’s Presumptive Eligibility (PE) Coordinator—train and support staff, ensure certification compliance, perform quality reviews, and submit required reports to the State. Function as liaison with County Welfare Agencies, NJ Department of Human Services (DHS), and the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS). Maintain accurate and confidential case tracking and reporting in accordance with hospital policy and HIPAA standards. Assist patients and families with understanding eligibility requirements, completing applications, and accessing needed services with compassion and sensitivity. Educate and support Resource Advisors on policy updates, documentation requirements, and process improvements.
