About The Position

The Media Technician is responsible for the efficient operation of the school library media center, managing both the physical space and the associated technology. This role involves providing support to students and staff in accessing digital and print resources, overseeing Chromebook management, and ensuring a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or 2 years of college courses preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a library, school, or office setting.
• Experience working with children is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the library media center operations.
• Oversee Chromebook inventory, distribution, and troubleshooting.
• Support students and staff in accessing library resources and technology.
• Operate the district library software system and maintain patron records.
• Provide programming support for library events and activities.
• Manage library space and technology calendars.
• Assist in the acquisition and processing of library materials.
• Conduct annual library inventory and reconcile lost or missing books.
• Coordinate financial management of library purchases and fines.
• Plan and manage Book Fair sales and fundraising activities.
