About the position
Business Insider is hiring an Intern to join our Media Studios / Product & Tech Department to assist in the day-to-day operations of Business Insider video equipment reservation systems and studio production. The Internship Program is for post graduate production applicants who want to spend several months learning from a passionate and dedicated technical production staff. Responsibilities
- Assemble equipment reservations each morning for Video Producers & Editorial employees.
- Keeping track of, and minor maintenance of video equipment.
- Actively monitoring employee equipment reservations and staying on top of overdue reservations.
- Ensuring all equipment is properly returned, and that everything is in order.
- Filling various positions on shoots (camera operator, teleprompter operator, audio operator, technical Director, etc.).
- Setting up our auditorium area for requested meetings (projector, TV, microphones, etc).
Requirements
- Broad understanding on equipment such as TV switchers, audio boards, and various production equipment such as studio cameras and lights.
- Broad understanding of video editing concepts such Adobe Premiere along with various types of audio and digital video equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and multitask.
