Media Specialist Intern: Summer 2026
About The Position
The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is looking for a creative and organized Media Specialist to capture the energy and excitement of Summer Camp. Responsible for taking and gathering all camp photos and events for parent communication and distributing this information in a fun exciting way. This position will also be responsible for the use of multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Waldo). Photography, videography, and editing experience required. Other projects include end of the summer farewell video and promotional piece for the next summer If you love storytelling through visuals and working in a lively environment, this is the role for you.
Requirements
- Photography, videography, and editing experience
- Knowledge of social media platforms
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- At least 18 years if age
Nice To Haves
- One year of college preferred
Responsibilities
- Photograph and document daily camp activities
- Upload photos to Waldo and manage the Waldo dashboard
- Post content on Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
- Produce PR-quality photos weekly for YMCA marketing use
- Create an end-of-season farewell video for families
- Assist with special events, theme days, and camp operations
- Collaborate with IT and camp leadership as needed
